DOWNTOWN DAILY BREAD
As many of you are aware, Trinity Church, in affiliation with Baughman UM Church, serves lunches on Tuesdays every other month at Downtown Daily Bread. To help support this program, we donate $1.00 for each lunch served. In recent months, we have been serving more lunches than we had in the past. Therefore, any donations to the DDB Fund would be greatly appreciated. To donate, see Doris Bair or simply place a check in the offering plate with Downtown Daily Bread noted on the memo line. Thanks for your help in this important ministry.

The children’s Sunday School classes will be working this quarter on a unit
about right and wrong entitled,
Kids’ Travel Guide to the Ten Commandments.
The children will be introduced to the concepts behind God’s
commandments. They will experience
thirteen weeks of exciting activities and fun crafts based on each of God’s
rules for their lives. They will
even learn to rap! We invite all of
Trinity’s children to join us on a great journey beginning on March 2nd.
.MARK YOUR CALENDAR /VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 16 thru 20, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to
8:30 p.m. here at Trinity United Methodist Church.
As part of the planning for this event we are asking anyone that may be
interested in working with the children, as a leader or a helper, to sign up on
the sheet available on the table in the old Narthex.
Any talent you would like to offer I’m sure we can use.
This is for planning purposes only and by no means commits you.
You may contact Donna Ratulowski in the Nursery during Sunday School or
at 512-3365 with any questions.
Coordinators Needed
We are in need of two coordinators who will part of the Worship Team.
First we need an Usher Coordinator.
This person is responsible for scheduling the teams of ushers who serve
at the 8:15 and 10:45 traditional worship services and any special services
throughout the year as needed. The
volunteer would also schedule training for the ushers as needed.
The second coordinator we need is an Acolyte Coordinator.
This person or persons would be responsible for scheduling the acolytes
for the two traditional services at 8:15 and 10:45 as well as any special
services. The volunteer would need
to be here to get the acolytes started at each service and to make sure they
understand their responsibilities.
The coordinator would also be responsible for holding trainings and recruiting
new acolytes. If you are interested
in volunteering for each position please contact Sally Ray, Worship Chair, at
292-4881. Thank you for considering
these positions of importance within the life of Trinity Church.
Summer in the Sonshine
It’s time once again
to begin planning this year’s Summer in the Sonshine program.
As in previous years we need as many volunteers from the congregation as
we can get. There is a job for everyone:
preparing food, making craft bags, piano player, lesson planner, helping
with mailings, chaperone, presenter, set up and clean up, taking pictures, or
spending time with and guiding the children.
Please think about joining us this year.
I guarantee the children will touch your heart.
If you want to join the fun this year, please contact Sandi Tobias in the church office or Kathy Karnes at 737-8959 so we can add your name to our list of volunteers. Please indicate how you would like to help. Please remember that if you are volunteering to help during the time that the children are here you must be Safe Sanctuary trained and have the appropriate clearances.

will be preparing hot dogs, sausages, baked potatoes, ice cream, baked goods,
popcorn, and water.

Free Spaghetti Dinner
On Saturday, April 26th from 4-6 p.m. we
will again offer a free spaghetti dinner to the community as part of our

Please be thinking of how you can assist us with this ministry to our
community at large. If you are not
going to use the sign up sheet today please remove and place unused ones at the
back of the sanctuary so we can save paper.
